Seiko enjoys one of the most expansive and dedicated followings of any watchmaker, yet its dressy offerings remain relatively underappreciated.
The elevated Presage Classic Series is overshadowed by its tool watch counterparts in the Prospex and Seiko 5 Sports collections, but it offers the same value and daily-wearing appeal. Two new releases in Seiko’s 145th Anniversary series exemplify what makes the brand’s affordable dress watches so appealing.

The newest additions to the Presage Classic Series fall into two distinct price categories, and both celebrate the Japanese watchmaker’s birthday with “Seiko Blue,” a distinct hue that became synonymous with the brand in the 1960s.
The pricier option features an Arita porcelain dial and debuts a new case design, while the more affordable alternative is an update to the 36mm silk dial Presage Classic introduced in late 2025.
A taste of luxury
Starting from the top, the Presage Classic HCC007 features an Artia porcelain dial with a rich “Seiko Blue” glaze forming a sunburst sector pattern.
