It took Nike over 40 years to craft a luxury-tier version of its flagship daily trainer. But last year, the Pegasus reached new heights with the Premium model. As the first in the collection to eclipse the $200 mark, the running shoe promised more energy return than any Pegasus ever and combined three signature elements into a single silhouette for the first time: a sculpted visible Air Zoom unit, ZoomX foam, and ReactX foam.

The Pegasus Premium is nothing short of cutting-edge in terms of both tech and aesthetics. But thanks to its latest collaboration, the sneaker has never looked more vintage.

Not your average retailer

Founded in 2014 by James Whitner, A Ma Maniére (French for “My Way”) is an Atlanta-based boutique shop that specializes in selling premium sneakers. In recent years, its Jordan collaborations put sneakerheads on notice, turning the brand into a cult-favorite among enthusiasts.

Bringing its upscale, storytelling-drive approach to the world of running shoes, A Ma Maniére now takes on the Pegasus Premium for the first time, turning the performance runner into a collector’s item.

Found foot-age

Available in black and white colorways, the A Ma Maniére Pegasus Premium still sports the same tech as before, including the full-length, sculpted Air Zoom midsole to match your foot’s natural contours and the highly-breathable, lightweight engineered mesh uppers. But it’s the aesthetic this time around that’s changed.

Both models feature slightly yellowed midsoles to make them look like you found them in an old shoe box, along with a silvered Swoosh on the side. The black variant is paired with Burgundy Crush accents, which plays more like a faded gray against the aged appearance of the rest of the silhouette.

Meanwhile, the Summit White version uses black as its accent color. As opposed to the all-black Air Zoom of the former, this model features a transparent unit.
