Back in 2024, Christopher Ward teamed up with Romaric André, the “horological artist” better known as seconde-seconde, on a cheeky version of its C65 Aquitaine dive watch dubbed the “Desk Diver.”
Meant to poke fun at (or celebrate) the idea that most dive watch wearers are more likely to take their watch into the office than the ocean, the watch was full of humorous callouts on the dial and bezel, with sections dedicated to timing decidedly non-glamorous daily events like napping and gossiping.
Now, the two collaborators are back at it with another tongue-in-cheek dive watch, this one aimed squarely at how a lot of us will actually use our divers this summer.

Vacation mode
Based on Christopher Ward’s C60 Trident Reef, the “Pool Diver” is meant to thrive poolside. Like the Desk Diver’s callouts to office culture, the Pool Diver’s dial and bezel are overrun with nods to laid-back summer vacations by the hotel pool.
Starting with the dial, there’s a sherbet-colored scale in blue, yellow and orange just inside the minute track that allows for timing of certain activities: reading, sunbathing, relaxing, flexing and lastly, contemplating/reconsidering your life’s choices.
