Watches are very trendy.

By that, I don’t mean more people are buying and wearing watches — although they certainly are — but that the watch industry follows distinct trends.

Much like the clothing industry, two or three features or categories dictate what most brands do annually. In 2025, watch cases are getting smaller, GMTs are still everywhere and there are more integrated sports watches than ever before.

One of the freshest and most alluring new takes on the 1970s concept comes from Farer. The British watchmaker entered the increasingly crowded integrated bracelet market for the first time and went well beyond copying an established design.

Farer brilliantly named its new watch the Integra, Latin for “complete,” and the root for the word “integrated.” Following the linguistic format, all four references have Latin names related to each dial color.

The dark blue dial is called Tenebris, meaning “darkness,” the green dial is Viridis, Latin for “green,” and the copper dial is Cuprum, the Latin for the metal.

By a mile, my favorite watch in the new collection is the mother-of-pearl dial Perlarum (you can guess the translation). It has an iridescence that flashes hues of green, purple and blue.

At the same time, it accentuates the uniform steel finish that defines the integrated sports watch category.

Going full circle

When designing an integrated sports watch, it is difficult not to borrow some details from Audemars Piguet or Patek Philippe. In this case, Farer emulated the Nautilus’s bracelet design, but admirably, that is where the comparison ends.

The tank tread-like bracelet has brushed steel flat-top links with beveled sides, connected by narrow, rounded, polished steel center links.

The contrasting polished and brushed steel continues onto the case, where the polished edge of the fixed bezel divides brushed surfaces.

Farer created a dial pattern based on the width of the links. A center circle breaks up concentric panels laid horizontally like floorboards. On the Tenebris and Cuprum references, the center circle has radial brushing, and the horizontal panels have a sandblasted finish.

The Perlarum dial, cut from mother-of-pearl, and the Viridis dial, cut from 1mm-thick pieces of malachite, have etched lines to create the circle and horizontal panel layout.

The chapter ring is marked with a 60-second track and has little grooves carved out at 5-second intervals, revealing a red marker on the dial’s surface.

Three of the references have Super-LumiNova inserts in the hour hand, minute hand, and hour markers. The Perlarum dial has molded lume fixed indices with a black coating, creating a glow emanating from the sides of the hour markers. This detail is becoming a signature for Farer’s.

A custom movement

Farer watches aren’t just lovely to look at. The British brand uses some of the finest wholesale watch movements sourced from renowned Swiss manufacturer Sellita and often customizes them to match each watch design.

The Integra uses a Sellita caliber SW300-1a automatic movement with a custom circular rotor weighted on one side. Each rotor is vapor-coated to match the dial, except for the Perlarum, which is black.

The SW300-1a has a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour and a 56-hour power reserve. It has hacking seconds and is adjusted by a three-position screw-down crown.

The most striking attribute of the Integra, especially the Perlarum reference, is the overall luxurious vibe.

Farer offers an exceptional value for a boutique brand, and this watch looks and performs like it should cost way more than $1,765 — about one percent of the price of a Nautilus.

It comes on an integrated steel bracelet, and a rubber pin-buckle strap is included. The strap matches the color of the dial, except for the Perlarum, which is black.
