For the last several weeks, Sonos has been running a “Back to School” sale, which has offered discounts on just a few of its speakers. Most notably, its entry-level smart speaker, the Era 100, and both its portable speakers, the Roam 2 and Move 2, were all discounted.
Now, those deals are still ongoing … but Sonos has launched a new “Labor Day” sale, adding several other of its speakers, soundbars and subwoofers to the discount list. The standouts of which are the Era 300 and the Beam 2, its Dolby Atmos wireless speaker and midrange soundbar, respectively.
Unfortunately, neither the Five or the Arc Ultra, Sonos’s best standalone speaker and new Dolby Atmos soundbar, is included in the sale.
According to Sonos, its Labor Day sale will run through September 6th (or while supplies last). Naturally, Amazon is matching these deals.
Lastly, it’s worth noting that, as reported by Bloomberg earlier this month, Sonos is expected to raise the prices on many of its products in the near future. So, if you’re in the market for a new Sonos speaker or soundbar, this might be one of the last opportunities you’ll have to get prices this low.

Sonos Era 300
The Era 300 is a first-of-its-kind speaker for Sonos, specifically designed to play immersive audio that supports Dolby Atmos. Like the Era 100, the Era 300 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and line-in audio (via USB-C) and thus there are more ways to play audio from it.
Released in early 2023, the Era 100 is an improved (and more expensive) version of the One speaker. It stands a little bit taller and has an extra tweeter to give it the ability to deliver a stereo sound (which the One was not able to do on its own). It has a 25 percent larger mid-woofer to help it deliver deeper bass, too.
The Beam is Sonos’s mid-range soundbar and the most affordable one that supports Dolby Atmos. It’s an ideal soundbar for those who have a TV that’s smaller than 65 inches.
The Sonos Sub 4 is the company’s new flagship wireless subwoofer. It looks and works quite similar to its predecessor, the Sub 3, but Sonos upgraded its internals with increased processing power and memory, as well as new WiFi radios. Maybe the biggest difference is that the Sub 4 comes in new matte white or matte black finishes.
Released in late 2023, the Move 2 is an upgraded version of Sonos’s 2019-released Move. It’s pretty much the same size and works very similarly, but the Move 2 has improved sound, double the battery life (up to 24 hours) and supports USB-C line-in so that you can hook it up to an analog source such as a turntable or CD player.
Released in June 2024, the Roam 2 is Sonos’s ultra-portable speaker. It supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can use it as a traditional portable Bluetooth speaker or bring it inside and group it with your other Sonos multi-room speakers.
The Sonos Ray is the company’s smallest, most affordable and most entry-level soundbar — and the only one that doesn’t support Dolby Atmos. Unlike the Arc and Beam (Gen 2), the Ray doesn’t have built-in mics and can’t function as a smart speaker. It also connects to your TV via optical rather than HDMI, meaning it’s better suited for smaller and older TVs.
