Focal is well known for its extremely high-end loudspeakers that are essentially grail items for most audiophiles. For example, a pair of its current flagship floorstanding loudspeakers, the Utopia III Evo, can cost upwards of $300,000.

But the French hi-fi manufacturer makes several loudspeaker lines that are significantly less expensive. The most obvious of which is its entry-level Theva range, as you can snag a pair of its bookshelf speakers, the Theva N1, for just over $1,000.

Now, as first spotted by eCoustics, the company has stealthily introduced a new loudspeaker range that is relatively affordable (at least by Focal’s standards), but promises to be “a step up” from the brand’s Theva range.

Focal’s new Omada loudspeakers sit between the entry-level Theva and midrange Verstia ranges. Similarly, Focal has integrated them with drivers and technologies that have been trickled down from its higher-end ranges.

Specifically, each Omada loudspeaker features an M-shaped inverted dome TAM tweeter, just like the ones used in its Aria Evo X and Vestia loudspeakers. And they feature Slatefiber mid-bass drivers, just like the ones used in its Chora range and Studio Alpha Evo monitors.

The four loudspeaker models

As far as the actual loudspeakers, there are four different models in the Omada range: one bookshelf, one center channel and two floorstanding loudspeakers. And you can configure them in either a traditional hi-fi or home theater system.

The Omada N1 bookshelf speakers and the Omada Center each have a two-way, bass-reflex design. While Omada N3 and Omada N4 are each three-way, bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeakers.

The two floorstanding loudspeakers have the same midrange and tweeter combination, but the flagship N4 has two larger woofers (instead of the N3’s three smaller ones) and thus promises to deliver deeper bass.

Both floorstanding loudspeakers as well as the N1 bookshelf speakers have a front-firing port. On the flip side, the Center has two smaller rear ports.

Price and availability

Focal’s Omada loudspeakers range from $700 to $2,300. They’re available now on the company’s website and from third-party retailers like Audio Advice and Crutchfield.

Each of the four loudspeaker models comes in one color: high-gloss black finish.
