Hoka doesn’t call the Ora Primo EXT a “camp shoe,” per se. But who would dare stop you?

With a reinforced toebox, high sidewalls and hardware that makes it easy to affix to a daypack, Hoka’s latest mule arrives as a Crocs-slaying companion for backyard fires and relaxed weekend escapes.

Also, thanks to a military-inspired makeover called “Antique Olive,” it now looks tougher (and arguably more versatile) than ever.

The design comes with several features that make it suitable for outdoor use, including a reinforced toebox, high sidewalls and metal hardware.

Like many of Hoka’s best-selling running shoes, the Ora Primo EXT features a dual-layer midsole made from EVA foam.

It also comes with self-massaging dimples in each footbed, elevating the comfort levels beyond what you might find in other mule designs in the market.

As for the outsole, it lacks the hardwearing Vibram rubber found on Hoka’s best-in-class trail footwear. That said, the lugged design still offers light traction without much in the way of added weight.
