Roksan is a British audio manufacturer that has been around since the mid-1980s. It specializes in high-end turntables, amplifiers and other hi-fi components designed for pretty serious audiophiles.

In late 2024, the company introduced a new flagship range of hi-fi components, called the Caspian Series 4G, and it consists of a streaming amplifier ($7,250) and an integrated amplifier ($6,000)

Now, Roksan has added a new amplifier duo — one streaming preamp and one power amp — to this flagship Caspian Series 4G, thus giving listeners more flexibility when building their elite home hi-fi system.

Meet the streaming preamp

The Caspian 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier and the Caspian 4G Power Amplifier are a pair of hi-fi components that are optimized to work in a stack. Let’s start with the former.

The preamplifier acts as the control hub. It handles all the streaming, playback controls and wired connections. It has built-in BluOS — a preferred multi-room streaming platform among audiophiles — and can stream high-resolution audio (up to 24-bit/192kHz) over Wi-Fi. It supports Bluetooth streaming, too.

Additionally, the preamplifier has a built-in MM and MC phono stage, which allows it to connect with a wide range of turntables. It has an HDMI eARC input, so you can connect your TV and use it as a home theater.

Uncompromising power

The Caspian 4G Power Amplifier is the most straightforward of the two components as it has one job: drive the speakers. Roksan says that it’s “engineered to deliver uncompromising drive and power, whether used in stereo or mono-block configuration.”

When used in a stereo setup, the amp is capable of delivering 105 watts per channel (into 8 Ohms), 200 watts (into 4 Ohms) or 420 watts (into 8 Ohms). In a mono-block configuration, it can deliver 630 watts (into 8 ohms).

Just like the other amplifiers in the Caspian 4G range, this new amp features Roksan’s advanced class AB amplifier architecture — called “Euphoria” — and precision-engineered circuit design. The brand claims it delivers a pure signal path that “preserves every detail and dynamic nuance of the music.”

When the Caspian 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier and the Caspian 4G Power Amplifier are paired together, Roksan claims that the “result is exceptional resolution, scale, and musicality — allowing the full character of every performance to shine through.”
