The Adidas Samba is one of the defining sneakers of the 2020s (among other decades).

The slim silhouette reached peak popularity and “It Shoe” status in 2023-2024, but it remains relevant well into 2026.

While it’s almost unrecognizable compared to the original, the new Samba Mule offers a breezy, hybrid take on the consistently in-demand classic … which might be exactly what it needs to reignite the hype.

Less shoe, more style

Sneaker hybrids started as a novelty but have become a well-established trend that breathes new life into classic silhouettes.

The upcoming Adidas Samba Mule shows how a non-traditional profile can reinvigorate a familiar favorite.

This iteration deletes the heel of the low-profile sneaker, making it even more casual and flexible.

However, the premium feel is maintained in the upper, which swaps out tried-and-true suede for woven leather (another 2026 micro trend) that lends much better air flow and breathability to the structured style.

The suede T-toe remains as an anchor to the standard Samba, matched to the cream of the leather upper.

Rather than the typical sans serif branding on the lateral side of the shoe, the golden-hued “Samba” hit switches to a script font.

The light gum outsole stays in line with the refreshed, tonal color palette, along with the cream-colored laces.

Availability and pricing

The Adidas Samba Mule in “Crew White” doesn’t yet have a release date or price point confirmed, but it is expected to make its debut in the coming months.

Based on past Samba iterations, the shoe should ring in around $100.
