Ford is hard at work and already developing and planning a new generation of F-150. Our pals at Motor1 supposedly received confirmation that Dearborn set the reveal date of the next-gen of America’s best-selling vehicle.

It’s scheduled to arrive by 2029, though not much is currently known. However, according to the report, Ford even went as far as to establish a completely new division (Production Creation and Industrialization) that’s dedicated to further developing its vehicles, including the F-150 and even its midsize sibling, the Ranger.

Believe it or not, the Ford F-150 has been with us for a whopping fourteen generations. Launched in 1948, it’s one of America’s oldest automotive nameplates and vehicles.

But more impressively, it’s been America’s best-selling vehicle for roughly four decades. Since 1977, it’s been the best-selling pickup in the States and even Canada’s best-selling truck for over a half century.

Since its introduction, the current F-150 range has since expanded to include a wide variety of trims and variants.

And to date, it’s the best-selling automobile of all time, behind the Toyota Corolla.

No specific details are available regarding the next-gen F-150. But given how popular the F-150 is and how faithful its demographic is, it’s likely going to be very similar to the one we get today. (Aside from major stylistic changes both inside and out, and improvements underneath the skin.)

That means we can also expect the usual arrangement of new Super Duty models, a new Raptor and a whole bunch of other trims, which currently diversify the F-150’s range.

Originally, the Ford planned to launch the new F-150 by next year. But due to a number of unforeseen circumstances and changes, the Dearborn automaker had to push it back to 2029.
