Beyerdynamic’s “Pro” series of headphones has been a go-to for musicians and audio professionals for years. And, more recently, the line has garnered immense mainstream popularity because of the great sound and distinct velour ear cushions … as well as being worn by some incredibly famous streamers (like Ninja, for example).
Naturally, the German hi-fi manufacturer has quite a few different headphones in its Pro series — both open-back and closed-back — and, depending on the model, they can range from between roughly $200 to $700.
But now it has introduced a more affordable option, the DT 270 Pro, which boasts the brand’s signature style and promises true studio-quality sound.

Beyerdynamic’s new DT 270 Pro is a pair of wired closed-back, over-ear headphones. They look very similar to its other Pro series headphones, but Beyerdynamic claims they are lighter (at 194 grams), making them more comfortable to wear for longer listening sessions.
Beyerdynamic claims they’re designed to bring “professional performance to creators working in compact spaces or on the go.”
