Devialet introduced its original Phantom over a decade ago. It’s a high-end, wireless multi-room speaker (think: Sonos, but much more premium) with an extremely unique design.

Each Phantom is a semi-spherical speaker reminiscent of the Death Star. It packs two force-canceling woofers on either side, which pulsate in perfect symmetry, paired with a central tweeter and midrange driver. It’s a visceral speaker, designed to be both heard and seen.

Over the years, the luxury French hi-fi manufacturer has iterated and upgraded its original Phantom design. This culminated in September 2025, when the brand introduced the Devialet Phantom Ultimate, a brand-new flagship model.

Fast forward half a year, and Devialet is now introducing a special-edition version of its latest flagship wireless speaker.

A French speaker/sport affair

As the name gives away, the Devialet Phantom Ultimate (Roland-Garros Exclusive Edition) is a limited edition version of the wireless speaker that was created in collaboration with Roland-Garros, the iconic French tennis championship.

It’s the same Phantom Ultimate wireless speaker that Devialet released last fall, but features clay red accents inspired by the tournament’s signature clay courts.

There are special-edition models of both wireless speakers: the Phantom Ultimate 108dB and Phantom Ultimate 98dB.

Like before, there are two different versions of the wireless speaker: the larger Phantom Ultimate 108dB and the smaller Phantom Ultimate 98dB.

The Phantom Ultimate 108dB is roughly twice the size and nearly three times as powerful. It packs a 1,100-watt amplifier and is capable of playing high-resolution audio with a frequency range between 14Hz and 35kHz.

On the flip side, the Phantom Ultimate 98dB packs a 400-watt amplifier and can play audio from 18Hz to 25kHz.

Two Phantom Ultimates

As you can tell from the photos, the two special-edition Phantom Ultimate speakers look a little different. The smaller 98dB model actually has more clay red accents that circle the entire perimeter of the woofers.

As far as sound, both special edition versions are the exact same wireless speakers as the standard Phantom Ultimate 108dB and Phantom Ultimate 98dB.

Each is decked out with a latest-gen processor (called the NXP i.MX 8M Nano) and supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming, with support for AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. Each speaker is also Roon Ready.

Availability and pricing

Since their release, Devialet has offered the Phantom Ultimate speakers in two finishes: Deep Forest (black) or Light Pearl (white). The 108dB model costs $3,800, while the smaller 98dB model costs $1,900.

Naturally, the Roland-Garros Editions of each will be a little more expensive. The 108dB model costs $4,200, while the smaller 98dB model costs $2,100. So you’re paying an extra $400 and $200, respectively.

The Roland-Garros Editions will also be exceedingly rare. According to Devialet, only a “few hundred pieces” will be released. They are available to order now from Devialet’s website, select Devialet stores and the Roland-Garros Megastore.

The French Open starts May 18th.
