Elipson prides itself on being the “oldest French speaker brand.” It has a history dating back to 1938.
Today, the company specializes in high-end loudspeakers that can be quite pricey. For example, its flagship Legacy loudspeaker range can cost well north of $10,000 (depending on the model).
Of course, Elipson offers more affordable ranges that cater to a broader range of aspiring audiophiles. And this past summer, it introduced the Prestige Facet II, a second generation of its popular Prestige Facet range, which hadn’t been updated since 2016.
This Prestige Facet II range comprised 10 models, including three floorstanding loudspeakers and two bookshelf speakers, as well as other models to build out a home theater or hi-fi system. Most were priced between $600 and $1,300
Fast forward to the present, and Elipson is introducing a third pair of bookshelf speakers to the Prestige Facet II range. Only this one is not like the others.

Active and Bluetooth
The new Prestige Facet II 6 Active BT technically sits between the other two bookshelf speakers in the range, the Prestige Facet II 6B (~$630) and the Prestige Facet II 8B (~$900). But unlike those other passive models, Elipson’s newest set of bookshelf speakers is an active wireless system.
That’s right, it’s a powered system that boasts a range of modern connections and supports Bluetooth streaming. According to the brand, it “builds on the fundamentals of the Prestige Facet II series while introducing expanded connectivity.”
