Gerber has been a top-tier name for pocket knives and multi-tools for 80-plus years — and with the release of the new Fastball folder, there’s little reason to think that will change anytime soon. The USA-made Fastball is an exceptionally well-crafted everyday carry knife that combines precision and polish — just what we’ve come to expect from Gerber. The practical design has a finger-flip opening that feels like second nature to use, made with ball bearings rather than a traditional hinge for smooth action and serious longevity. The three-inch utilitarian stainless steel Wharncliffe blade is ready to be put through the paces. And the Fastball’s handle is made from rugged aircraft-grade aluminum, available in three handsome colorways. Carry it your way with an effective three-position pocket clip, ensuring you’ll never lose track of your new favorite knife.

LG C7 55-Inch OLED 4K HDR TV
Save $500 When it comes to TV tech, it’s hard to beat OLED. Despite the high price, the rich colors and inky blacks are unmatched. LG’s 4K HDR OLED C7 Series made it on Gear Patrol’s Best 100 products of 2017, and now you can get it for under a grand at B&H Photo, which is a steal.
The C7 has been supplanted by the newer C8, but the older model’s picture is still stunning in comparison to an LED set. Also, the version on offer from B&H is technically the C7C, a commercial model that appears not support Google Assistant, as The Verge points out, but which comes with a three-year warranty as opposed to the one-year warranty that’s standard for consumer grade sets. The deal lasts until the end of June 12th.
Cuisinart Coffee Maker
Save 50%: Carrier of the Specialty Coffee Association’s (SCA) Certified Home Brewer Badge, Cuisinart’s Pureprecision drip brewer is among elite coffee-making company. but, while excellent, it’s typically a $200-plus buy. Not today.
On sale for 50 percent off on Macy’s site, $112 price tag is as cheap as we’ve seen a new model by a significant margin. Like all SCA-approved brewers, it cranks out pots of consistently extracted coffee at exacting temperatures for a very, very long time. For those interesting, the SCA makes the details of the grueling certification process available here and here.
It’s worth noting the Cuisinart brewer is listed as a “Last Call” item on the site, meaning there are no guarantees on how long the deal will last. — Will Price
Samsung 2018 NU7300 4K LED TV
Save 50%: Samsung’s 2018 NU7300 is a pretty high-end 4K smart LED TV. It has a slightly curved design and a Motion Rate 120, meaning it’s a good TV for HDR gaming, or watching fast-action sports or movies (you don’t need to worry about motion blur). A 65-inch model typically costs $1,400, but right now it’s on sale for half that at Walmart. Yes, that’s 50-percent off. If you’re looking for a steal on a good 65-inch 4K TV, particularly if you’re a gamer, this is a pretty fantastic one.
Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller
Save $30: Rachio is one of the biggest names in smart lawn care, and the Rachio 3 is the company’s latest-and-greatest smart sprinkler controller. It connects to your current sprinkler system and allows you to set watering schedules and turn on/off the system remotely. The smart thing about the Rachio 3 is that it’s connected to Wi-Fi and knows the weather; it can determine the moisture level of the soil and therefore make smart decisions on how much water your lawn (or certain flower patches) needs. For example, if you’ve set a watering schedule but it’s raining, the Rachio 3 will know that — no more sprinklers in the rain. The Rachio 3 is also compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple’s HomeKit? and Nest, so you should have no issue integrated it with your current smart home ecosystem.
Alpinestars Viper Air Textile Jacket
Save 20%: Just because the temperatures are rising and the thought of putting on another layer causes sweat to bead on your brow, doesn’t mean you should skimp on protection when you get on your motorcycle. You should always dress for the ride, but in the summer, it’s equally important to keep cool with the right gear.
The Alpinestars Viper Air Textile Jacket is constructed from reinforced 600 denier poly-fabric and has removable CE-certified Bio-Armor at the shoulders and elbows for protection and designed with massive mesh vents for maximum airflow, so it doesn’t feel like you’re riding around in a Turkish bathhouse. Patagonia Nine Trails Backpack
Save up to 50%: While some hiking backpacks cram as many functions into as few liters as possible, others opt for the opposite tack: achieve utility through minimalism. This was precisely what Patagonia strove for in its Nine Trails packs, which launched last spring, and the company (as usual) landed on its mark.
Instead of multiple compartments and various access points, the Nine Trails backpack has one spacious main compartment that’s accessed through a large U-shaped zipper. On the exterior are multiple stretchy sleeve-style pockets for storing items that need to be accessed routinely on the trail, like extra layers, water bottles and snacks. That’s essentially it, and the backpack is a success because of that simplicity (it’s one of our favorite daypacks for hiking). The bag isn’t without a couple of extras though — there are small zippered stash pockets inside, on the top and on the hipbelt, and a hydration sleeve with a port for the hose.
Compared to other hiking bags in Patagonia’s line, the Nine Trails is still new, but as long as you don’t mind last season’s colors — Classic Red and Sprouted Green — you can find the bag on sale for up to 50 percent off at Backcountry in both 20- and 36-liter capacities. — Tanner Bowden
