Back in April, Jeep announced the coming of the Cherokee Trackhawk — a family-friendly SUV powered by the same 707 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 found in the SRT Challenger Hellcat.
At the time, not much else was known other than it will have a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, a Hellcat-style hood and that it will have Brembo brakes, which come in handy when you’re trying to slow down 5,200 lbs of metal with 707 horsepower hauling it along. Now, Jeep has put a price on the Trackhawk and it’s to the tune of $86,995. A standard Cherokee SRT goes for $67,890 and around $78,500 with a few option boxes ticked. So for a little over $11,000, you’ll be getting an extra 232 horsepower or what equates to an additional Volkswagen Golf GTI under the hood. And according to that math, it’s an absolute steal.
