Last month, Mercedes revealed a refreshed and revitalized C300, so it was only a matter of time before the rest of the C-Class family fell in line. Just announced at the Geneva International Motor Show, not only will the Mercedes-AMG C43 get updated looks but it’s also set for a small power bump as well.
Under the hood, the 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 is the same power plant from the 2018 model, but for next year, it’ll be tuned to 385 horsepower, a 23 hp increase. Cabin updates include a new multi-function steering wheel and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen but, sadly, no MBUX. You’ll have to wait until the new A-Class debuts later this year to see that feature.
Pricing for the C43 currently sits at $53,400, and while it may not have the all-out insanity of the V8 AMG C63, the “AMG-enhanced” C43 does offer a significant step above the base C300. There’s no reason to expect the reworked C43 will fall short of the accolades collected by its 2018 predecessor.
