As one of Nike’s most innovative models in recent memory, the Pegasus Premium made a splash with its debut in January 2025, reinvigorating the brand’s once unquestionably dominant presence in running.

Since then, a stream of color updates has kept the shoe top of mind—but its latest aesthetic change drops what many fans consider an essential part of any Nike sneaker: the Swoosh.

The new Caldera Brown colorway, set to release later this month, removes the defining lateral-side Swoosh, transforming this high-profile model into something far more understated — and unexpectedly luxurious.

Subtle style

That’s right, the most notable change to the new Pegasus Premium “Caldera Brown” colorway is its omission of the large lateral side Swoosh that immediately marks any shoe as Nike’s.

Instead of the standard logo placement, this version of the cutting-edge running shoe sees a series of much smaller Swooshes, placed on the back outer edge of the heel and upper.

The Pegasus Premium is the most responsive Pegasus ever, and features a trifecta of powerful cushioning: ZoomX foam, a sculpted Air Zoom unit and ReactX foam.

The clean sidewalls of the Pegasus Premium, combined with its earthy, winter-ready colorway, give off a much more muted, symmetrical profile than we’re used to seeing from the brand.

Aside from its subtle new look, the latest Pegasus Premium maintains all of the technical attributes that make it a standout, including its triple-stack of Nike’s most powerful running technologies — ZoomX, Air Zoom and ReactX foam — as well as a full-length, sculpted Air Zoom unit, lightweight circular knit and mono mesh upper.

Availability and pricing

The Pegasus Premium “Caldera Brown” will be available on Nike’s official website starting December 18th at 7am (time zone not specified.)
