Ikea’s big, blue empire was built on flat-pack furniture and frozen meatballs. But outdoor grills?
The Soluppgång Cast Iron Grill, quietly and conveniently released alongside daylight saving time, isn’t Ikea’s first foray into the category.
However, priced at $80, it’s easily the brand’s cheapest and most compelling offering yet.

The grill itself is part of a lager collection inspired by Japanese urban-outdoor aesthetic and Nordic friluftsliv, which translates to “open-air living.”
Offerings range from picnic blankets to Snow-Peak-adjacent outdoor tables, though the grill presents the largest upside at home and away.
