Earlier this year, Crocs launched its Echo RO Clog, a chunkier, more outdoor- and camping-friendly take on its iconic Classic Clog. Unsurprisingly, it was a pretty big, immediate hit.

Now, the brand has returned to that same silhouette, albeit with some subtle military styling upgrades. This version is called the Crocs Echo Camo RO Clog.

The camo is relegated to the wraparound treads, leaving the contrasting upper more minimalist.

Croc-o-flage

The original version of the Crocs Echo RO clogs already had a lot going for them, although most of them were relatively basic, as far as colorways are concerned.

Depending on the version you picked, they were either monotone, with their upper matching their outsole, or two-tone, with one color for the upper and another for the outsole.

Although constructed and styled slightly differently, the Echo RO retains the classic clogs’ drain holes and Croslite construction.

The two new pairs in the Echo Camo RO lineup take a similar approach to the two-tone options, but with one major difference. In these ones, the upper is a single hue, including the lining, but the outsole has been given a four-color camouflage redux.

That camo also extends to the label on the back of the strap. Furthermore, this version comes in two versions: one with a black upper and classic multicam outsole and the other with a gray upper and gray multicam outsole.

New look, same great camp slipper

This isn’t technically the first time the Echo RO has been given a camouflage swap. There is a version with Realtree camo, but it’s inverted — the upper is camo and the outsole is solid — and more expensive (due to the collaborative nature.)

However, the camo on this new version is a lot more subtle and classic, which will likely make it a more approachable option for most folks. Beyond that, they retain everything that made the original Echo RO so good.

Like the original, the deep, thick treads are better for all-terrain wandering, like at the campsite.

That includes a classic Croslite upper — which is lightweight, waterproof, buoyant, durable, easy to clean and maintains the classic drainage holes. That also means this version is compatible with Jibbitz charms, should you so desire to customize.

However, it also sports the chunky rubber outsole, which is grippier and more stable on uneven terrain (like campgrounds and hiking paths), as well as a back strap with a heel pad for added security and comfort. Lastly, they boast the brand’s LiteRide footbed for exceptional comfort and softness.
