Nike’s Rugged Air Max Goadome Sneaker Boot Gets an Unexpected Refresh

The ACG boot line doesn’t usually get too playful, but the Dot Pack’s punched-out leather upper design will stop you in your tracks.

The debut of the Goadome Low has quietly become one of Nike’s most important stories of the year. 

The original Air Max Goadome launched in the early 2000s as Nike ACG’s direct answer to Timberland. Insulated, Max-cushioned underfoot and built for conditions that would trash most sneakers, it was a rugged winter boot first and a lifestyle piece second, if at all.

Introduced earlier this year, the Goadome Low changes things with a lower-cut riff on the burly silhouette, stripping back the shaft height while keeping the stacked Air Max sole and durable leather construction. The boot is more street-ready than ever before.

Dot too shabby

Now, the Air Max Goadome Low is back in two new colorways for the Dot Pack. Both pairs feature a perforated leather upper, turning what is traditionally a trail-focused boot into something decidedly more fashion-forward. Sneaker fans who’ve followed the Goadome’s slow-burn resurgence in streetwear circles get a playful new reason to revisit the silhouette.

The Dot Pack lands in two colorways: a Light Orewood Brown and a clean black. In both cases, the perforated leather upper is a real eye-grabber. Polka-dot patterns have moved steadily through Nike’s recent releases, but these new Goadome Lows are something else entirely.

Admittedly, the hole-y shoes won’t be for everyone (especially if you have trypophobia). The all-black variant is easily more versatile. However, if you want everyone to be staring at your feet all day, you should definitely go with the Light Orewood Brown options.

The Nike Air Max Goadome Low Dot Pack drops August 20 at 10 a.m. ET via Nike SNKRS at $185 each pair.
