Nike Reinvents a Beloved Retro Hiker into a Rugged, Workwear-Ready Sneaker

The Swoosh’s answer to the Timberland work boot finally hits its stride as a heritage-infused low rider.

One of the tenants of workwear is that it often looks better with age.

Naturally, it took a quarter of a century for Air Max Goadome to come into its own.

Built for trails but long seen as Nike’s answer to the Timberland work boot, the Air Max Goadome finally hits its stride with a low-cut version set to arrive in the first half of 2026.

However, beyond just cutting off the top half of the model, the Air Max Goadome Low also introduces new metal eyelets that add durability and a touch of workwear-infused flair.

At launch, the shoe comes in two colorways, black and “Taupe,” with the latter showcasing a nubuck-leather upper a la Timberland’s iconic style.

Of course, both showcase visible Air units underfoot, with subtle ACG branding on side of the midsole.

Availability and pricing

The Air Max Goadome Low is expected to arrive in the next few months with a retail price of $175.
