Ikea’s latest addition to its Pärkla line takes one of the brand’s most beloved cheap storage basics and supersizes it.
For anyone whose camping bins and closet shelves are already maxed out, this new garage shelf-friendly case might be the easiest way to tame the overflow without spending more than the cost of a gas station coffee.
Almost double the storage, for just $1 more

This new case lives in the same Pärkla family as the original best-selling storage bag and the shoe bag that our own Executive Editor once crowned “the best item at Ikea“, thanks to its packing-cube-like usefulness for everything from sneakers to road-trip organization.
Functionally, the new expanded Pärkla sticks to the same winning formula as the original. It’s a lightweight, zip-top fabric box with handles that keeps dust, pet hair and closet chaos.
Its semi-transparent synthetic shell lets you see what is inside, and it also folds flat when empty.

But while it keeps the same footprint and materials as the original bestseller, it adds just over four extra inches of height, so you are going from a 21 ¾ x 19 ¼ x 7 ½ inch underbed bin to an 11 ¾ inch‑tall soft box that can swallow bulky camping gear, seasonal clothing and virtually any other source of clutter.
