For some brands, pretty much conquering the yoga, fitness and base layer spaces might be enough. But never one to hew to expectations, Lululemon is going big on the great outdoors with the launch of Lululemon X Wilderness, a brand-new collection of menswear geared toward epic adventures.
Inspired by a pretty badass-looking motorcycle road trip that members of the design team took through Yosemite, this line is all about rugged but stylish performance in a variety of outdoor conditions. The layer-oriented 12-piece collection consists of a rain jacket, five different shirts, two pairs of pants, shorts, tights, socks and a beanie packed with “Escape and Explore”-friendly features.
For example, the rain jacket is waterproof, vented and articulated for riding while still repping the brand’s unmistakably elegant style. Meanwhile, the matching pants boast reinforced knees, secure pockets and magnetic closures for easy on-the-go access. A third item we love, the collared long-sleeve shirt, features PrimaLoft Insulation, strategically placed abrasion-resistant panels and adjustable cuffs to conserve heat when temperatures drop.
Of course, like almost everything Lululemon, these items look fantastic, too. We’ve only just begun testing the stuff, but so far, we are equal parts impressed and inspired to go out and seek new adventures. Chances are you will be too.
