Trail runners aren’t a one-speed, one-style crowd, and their shoes shouldn’t have to be, either.

Adidas Terrex’s latest dirt-oriented release addresses the needs of every type of trail enthusiast, from ultra-distance competitors to everyday cruisers. With its four new speed-focused additions, the updated Agravic range delivers a complete lineup designed to support every type of runner.

Titans of trail

After a momentous few years producing some of the most elite super trail shoes available, Adidas Terrex is betting big on trail running heading into 2026: its overhauled Agravic lineup includes updates to three existing models (the Agravic Speed Ultra 2, Agavic Speed 2 and Agravic 4,) plus one brand new shoe, the Agravic TT. Each is designed with a different runner in mind.

The headliner of the collection is the Agravic Speed Ultra 2, which has been redesigned to prioritize comfort and energy return. The high-performance shoe now features an updated, softer Lightstrike Pro foam midsole, trail-specific EnergyRod system, an improved engineered mesh upper and a 4mm Continental Rubber outsole, switching things up from its predecessor’s 3mm lugs.

Built for shorter-distance competition, the Agravic Speed 2 is Adidas’s lightest trail shoe yet. That superlative comes courtesy of a redesigned upper that focuses on stability while reducing weight and a low-profile Lightstrike Pro midsole.

The Agravic 4 is the most widely appealing shoe of the new range, built to deliver the thrill of running on trails to anyone game to try. It now features a softer midsole, a protective mesh layer to keep debris from causing discomfort and a reengineered upper to improve fit.

Lastly, the all-new Agravic TT pulls from the same technology used in the Agravic Speed Ultra 2 but packages it in a more aggressive, technical design.

Built for navigating rocky trails, steep descents or unpredictable surfaces, the shoe boasts a broader base for stability and a dual-foam Lightstrike Pro and Lightstrike+ midsole. This comfort-boosting cushioning is complemented by a durable and supportive upper, a rock plate underfoot and a multi-directional lug profile.

Availability and pricing

The Agravic Speed Ultra 2 will be available from December 2, 2025 on Adidas’s official website, on the adidas app and in selected retail. The other models in the refreshed lineup will be available from February 2026 onwards.
