Leatherman used 2025 to prove that a multitool brand can still surprise people who already own three.
This was the year the Portland icon split its focus between genuinely new ideas and sharper takes on its greatest hits, rolling out compact, pocketable pieces alongside full-size workhorses with better ergonomics, upgraded steels and more carry-friendly sheaths.
Everyday tools got slimmer and more city-ready without losing the “fix-anything” backbone, while outdoors- and emergency-focused models layered in smarter bit kits, better one-hand access and purpose-built implements that feel thought through instead of tacked on.
Color, finishes and limited variants added just enough fun for collectors, but the through line is still utility first.
