Knafs proves it can go toe-to-toe with high-end everyday carry cutting tools with a stunning take on a familiar silhouette.

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Knafs. I’m especially fond of how the brand has put affordability and approachability at the forefront.

However, the brand has premium chops, too, as proven by its latest project, the Knafs Jeremy Siers Lander 2. This EDC knife takes a familiar silhouette and gives it some pretty spectacular upgrades.

A folding knife with a textured, patterned handle and a stonewashed blade. The blade has the brand name "KNAFS" near the handle. The knife is placed on a dark surface with blurred objects in the background.
The textured handle pairs beautifully with the black acid-wash blade.

Always bet on black

This knife was created in collaboration with Jeremy Siers, a YouTuber known for having a great big bushy beard (to quote Hot Fuzz). In all seriousness, he makes authentic lifestyle content in the cigar, whiskey, health and (of course) knife categories.

If you’re familiar with him, then the styling of this take on the Lander 2 makes perfect sense. It’s rugged, yet refined — much like Siers.

No part of this knife represents that rugged refinement more than its handle. This take sees the scales swapped for machined burlap Micarta.

A folding knife with a textured black and gray handle featuring a chevron pattern. The blade is partially visible and has the brand name "KNAFS" printed on it. The knife is placed on a black surface alongside a silver and black wristwatch and a metallic clip or tool.
The materials and finish are different, but the knife’s signature silhouette and mechanisms remain intact.

But it’s not just the material, which is sophisticated, but still extremely durable; it’s also in its machining pattern. There’s a diamond at its center with chevrons ebbing outward.

And it’s not just a look; there’s a texture to it. You can feel the ridges, which also serve to add plenty of grip. But the handle is just part of the story.

A closed folding knife with a textured black carbon fiber handle featuring a zigzag pattern. The blade is partially visible, made of stonewashed steel, and marked with "LANDER 2 / S35VN" and a logo. The handle has a black pocket clip with a signature or initials on it, secured by two screws. The knife has a thumb stud and a pivot screw near the blade's base.
The only non-black part on the knife is the dark bronze thumb studs.

Upgrade complete

You’re probably now wondering about the pointy end, right? That makes sense. Well, it’s also as rugged and refined as the handle.

Measuring 3.25 inches, it’s now made from S35VN steel — an old standard that’s still among the most beloved blade materials. It also boasts a black acid-washed finish, lending it some extra durability and style.

A hand with tattoos on the fingers and wrist is holding a folding knife with a stonewashed blade and a textured black handle. The blade has the brand name "KNAFS" near the pivot. The background is blurred, showing a person with a beard and wearing a dark shirt.
The Micarta handle scales aren’t just unique in their appearance; the pattern is also tactile — you can feel it.

The blade also features the one part of the knife that isn’t blacked out: the bronze thumb studs, which add a subtle stylistic pop and also serve as the primary deployment method.

The knife also has a Clutch Lock, the brand’s take on the highly popular crossbar lock. And it has a reversible deep-carry pocket clip. It wouldn’t be too much to call this one of the nicest knives Knafs has ever made (but it is a mouthful).
