After 37 years, Nike figured ACG was ready for a refresh.

This year alone, the brand welcomed performance-minded revamps of the Ultrafly, Zegama and LDV, along with a high-profile Winter Olympics collection that sold out quicker than you could finish a downhill ski run.

And while Nike’s latest addition to the ACG catalog might share this same penchant for scarcity, you can grab this future grail item for the price of a sandwich combo.

The brand unexpectedly unveiled a new trio of ACG prints that carry on Nike’s legendary poster program from its early years.

Authentic posters from the ‘80s and ‘90s — think Michael Jordan’s Jumpman over the Chicago skyline or Barry Sanders doing various poses — go for well over $100. Earlier prints can even climb upward of $600.

Luckily, the new posters arrive for just $20 a pop, although they appear to be moving quickly among collectors new and old.

Rex sells

Leading the pack is the already-sold-out “Fossil” poster, depicting a skeletonized T. rex taking over a large ACG emblem printed over an orange background.

Up top it reads, “All Conditions Gear. Designed, Tested, and Worn to be Wild.” Underneath, you’ll get some facts about dolomite minerals and running speeds for forty different animals.

There’s also an “Ibex” poster that features a POV shot of its namesake goat chasing after a hiker who’s wearing the Lava Loft jacket that debuted this year.

The DIY collage-like aesthetic sports an off-set photograph over a black backdrop with ACG branding up top.

Old-school cool

For something more along the lines of Nike’s old-school prints, the “Worn to be Wild” edition hits the nail on the head, referencing the Lava High trail boot — a higher-cut version of the original Lava Dome — with an orange milk snake entangled in the shoes.

The Lava High debuted in 1989, the same year as the ACG label, but it’s considered an “experimental” pre-launch model that eventually ended up getting roped into the main lineup.

Similar to some of the older ‘70s and ‘80s posters, this one also features a header underneath, reading, “WORN TO BE WILD,” with some promotional text about the lightweight Son of Lava Dome model, also from 1989, depicted to the right.

Pricing and availability

All three posters measure 22 inches by 34 inches and come with a $20 price tag, but only the “Ibex” and “Worn to be Wild” posters are still available.

While these new ACG prints won’t feature any famous athletes, their popularity could mean we’ll see more posters in the near future.

If anything, they represent a fun and affordable entry point into the revamped ACG ecosystem.
