Nike Cops Military Tactical Elements for Its Versatile EDC and Travel Duffel

Duffel bags are among the most classic EDC and travel bags. However, not all are built alike. Some are simple, lacking any real feature set beyond a generous interior and some straps.

The Jordan Collectors Duffel is on the other side of the spectrum. Borrowing elements from tactical military packs, it’s practically overbuilt. And yet it is still simple and extremely user-friendly.

Built to take a beating

This bag has an absolutely rock-solid build, courtesy of its Cordura nylon construction. That material, by the way, is favored by militaries around the world for its strength-to-weight ratio, as well as its durability, resistance to scuffs, cuts, scrapes and abrasions and so much more. It’s also naturally water-resistant.

Better still, the part that needs it most, the bottom, is further reinforced, so you don’t have to fret about it wearing out when you set it down.

But the exterior isn’t just military-tough; it also has some additional versatility borrowed from tactical bags. Namely, it has Molle-style webbing on the front for modular attachments.

It also has both suitcase-style and shoulder carry straps, a luggage pass-through for easier travel with other bags, a bunch of externally accessible pockets and more. The front pocket is especially handy, as it offers easy access to smaller items, like your EDC loadout. It even has a tether for your keys.

Traveling, just not like in basketball

Obviously, the bag’s exterior is extremely well considered. But the inside is also much more feature-rich than you might expect from a duffel bag.

The name, Collectors Bag, is actually a reference to one of its intended purposes. The pack comes with a trio of padded dividers that allow the interior to house up to four pairs of your favorite sneakers up to a men’s size 14, as well as any products you might need to properly clean and care for them.

However, those dividers can also be removed, should you want to use this as a gym, travel or EDC pack. All told, it can hold up to 44 liters of gear.

And yet, that’s not all. It also has a structure to it that keeps it from flopping into an awkward pile when not stuffed full. And it has internal organizational pouches and pockets for your other gear, including a padded laptop pouch for your essential tech.

If duffel bags were people, this one might be some kind of a superhero.
