J. Crew has just unveiled its latest collaboration with New Balance: a take on the 791 silhouette, but with a supple suede upgrade. The 791 — a low, classic-looking court-style sneaker — is, according to J. Crew’s website, a design from New Balance’s archives. While you won’t see any iteration of the 791 on the sneaker brand’s website, it’s formed the basis for a few J. Crew and New Balance collaborations in the past. This version gets an upper made from soft, nubuck suede (available in gray, navy and brown) and a rubber sole. Oh, and it $80 it’s decently priced, too.
Can it get any better? Of course it can. It just so happens that J. Crew has a sweet sale going on right now: 30 percent off your purchase. There are, naturally, some exclusions (and unfortunately the new 791 is one of them) but there’s no shortage of great items to score.
