They don’t make ’em like they used to. Unless that’s referring to the CWU 45/P.

Manufactured by Alpha Industries for the Department of Defense starting in 1995, the classic bomber receives a domestically produced rerun for the first time in decades.

Cut, sew and finished in New York City, the CWU 45/P Made in USA Limited Edition Flight Jacket features hand-cut panels, reinforced seams and authentic details that stay true to the original.

These range from ottoman cuffs to hook-and-loop patches on the chest and sleeves.

However, the jacket also features vintage flight nylon for an elevated expression of the CWU 45/P available in military surplus stores across the country.

“Bringing CWU production back to the United States, even for a limited run, is personal to me,” says Alpha Industries CEO Mike Cirker, who called the one-off jacket a “proud moment.”

Availability and pricing

The CWU 45/P Made in USA Limited Edition Flight Jacket is limited to just 100 pieces worldwide. It costs $500 and comes in one color: black.
