Nike’s Fan-Favorite Retro Runner Is the Swoosh’s Latest Premium Leather Sneaker

When Nike relaunched the longstanding Vomero lineup in 2025, it debuted different tiers of the max-cushioned trainer.

It turns out that the vintage Zoom Vomero 5, a performance-turned-lifestyle silhouette, will be getting its own premium version.

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Pony” is an upmarket makeover of the 2010 runner, replacing mesh and other synthetic materials with a luscious all-leather upper.

That said, the novel variant retains the design’s iconic hallmarks, including a ribbed panel across the midfoot.

It also possesses Nike’s signature Zoom Air cushioning underfoot, preserving the all-day wearability of the original.

Availability and pricing

The Zoom Vomero 5 “Pony” is already available in Australia for 220 Australian dollars (around $147).

Expect it to arrive in the US in the coming weeks via the Nike Snkrs app.
