The Pro-Ject Essential III Phono is one of the best turntables under $500 you can buy. It’s been around for a few years and is hugely popular; Sonos even sells the turntable because it can connect directly to a Play:5 speaker and then stream music to the rest of the Sonos speakers in your home. (The Play:5 is the only Sonos speaker that can connect directly to the Essential III Phono because it’s the only Sonos speaker with an audio line-in.)
