Nomos Glashütte has created a line of special edition Tangentes in collaboration with Singaporean retailer The Hour Glass based upon their Red Dot watches, launched in 2018. Building upon that release and in celebration of the Hour Glass’s 40th anniversary, the new Tangente Neomatik Red Dot is available in four dial colors (midnight blue, ruthenium, silver and salmon) and feature hour markers printed in either ancient Chinese oracle bone script (silver and salmon variants) or ancient Hindu-Arabic numerals (ruthenium and midnight blue variants), giving them a unique look that you’d be hard-pressed to find on modern watches.
The new Tangentes uses the 38.5mm stainless steel Tangente case, which is water-resistant to 50m, and the automatic Nomos caliber DUW 30001 movement with 43-hour power reserve. The salmon and ruthenium dials are available on Horween leather straps, while the silver and midnight blue dials are available on steel bracelets. Each watch is limited to 50 pieces and will be available on The Hour Glass’s website, as well as at Watches of Switzerland, for ~$3,526.
