Adidas’s Flagship Ultraboost Runner Is Now Absurdly Cheap

A standout colorway of the Ultraboost 5X is now half price, and other stylish versions are discounted too.

First announced in mid-July 2024, the Adidas Ultraboost 5X arrived with a handful of limited colorways and a slate of modern updates to the Ultraboost platform.

Since then, Adidas has steadily expanded the lineup with understated neutrals and bold, high-visibility hues. More than a year after its debut, at least one version— in Impact Orange —is available at 50% off.

Several other colorways, including Core Black, Pure Teal, and Carbon, are available for smaller discounts of around 25%.

What Makes This Shoe Unique

The Ultraboost 5X builds on Adidas’ signature Boost cushioning, pairing plush comfort with a durable Primeknit upper and grid-like torsion design for a more structured feel.

Thanks to Light Boost foam, it’s lighter than previous versions, and the overall platform maintains energy return while smoothing out impact.

Early impressions in running and sneaker circles highlighted its hybrid utility—stylish enough for streetwear yet padded and stable enough for daily training.

Few running-sneaker releases stick around long enough to see deep cuts. In this rare moment, the Impact Orange variant—previously $180—is under $100 at just $90.

Meanwhile, other attractive shades such as Pure Teal, Core Black, and Carbon have dropped to approximately $135, offering solid value if that bright orange doesn’t suit your taste.
