Nike may have started with shoes for roads and tracks.

However, its history on the trails goes back to the 1980s and ’90s, when it debuted hardwearing boots like the Lava Dome and Baltoro.

Now, decades later, it’s ready to complement its vast catalog of footwear and clothing with one of its first pieces of genuine camping gear.

The Convertible Camp Blanket is part-poncho, part sleeping bag, similar to the Poler Napsack.

It even retains some utility packed down, functioning as a makeshift pillow when weight must be kept to a minimum.

It also has Therma-Fit ADV technology — the same heat-regulating fabric and fill found in the brand’s best cold-weather jackets and tights.

For its final flourish, the pockets come lined with fleece for extra comfort on a hike or sitting around the campfire.
