Yeti’s New Retro Collection Harkens Back to Some of the Brand’s Earliest Designs

The company celebrates a major milestone with new colorways inspired by some of its first designs.

Yeti is just one of those brands that feels like it’s been around forever. But believe it or not, the company wouldn’t even be old enough to drink the countless beer cans it’s helped keep cold.

Brothers Roy and Ryan Seiders founded Yeti just 20 years ago, turning their simple idea for a rugged cooler into a publicly traded outdoor empire worth billions.

To celebrate the anniversary, Yeti turned back the clock on some of its heavy hitters, including the Camino Carryall, Roadie 15, Hopper Flip and, of course, the infamous Tundra Hard Cooler.

It also extends that color scheme to gear that never had it, such as the Camino Carryall tote.

The new “Throwback Collection” sees the various pieces of gear adopt a color scheme reminiscent of Yeti’s earliest releases, defined by whites, grays and light blues.

Most of it even comes emblazoned with the company’s former tagline, “Wildly stronger! Keep ice longer!” which eventually made way for it current one, “Built for the wild.”

Of course, Yeti gear doesn’t come cheap, but thankfully, the brand threw in some of its more-affordable accessories.

The retro collection also covers the brand’s utility bucket, Rambler Tumbler, gear cases (compatible with its coolers and Camino Carryall bag) and a hat.

Yeti has yet to officially release the “Throwback Collection” but a signup promo on its homepage suggests that a drop is imminent.

In the meantime, Gear Patrol can exclusively share an unlisted YouTube video from the company, which showcase each of the new products in more detail.

Stay tuned for updates when the collection is closer to an official release.
