GRID Wallet Forged CarbonGRID Wallet Forged Carbon
Ever see the Seinfeld episode where George’s behemoth bi-fold wallet is so overstuffed it hurts his back? The wallet ultimately explodes, throwing his receipts all over the streets of Manhattan in typical George Costanza fashion. The latest minimalist wallet from GRID Wallet is essentially the exact opposite of George’s, which is a wonderful thing.
Forged from carbon fiber, its machined plates also offer RFID theft protection for the 12 cards it can house. It also features a money clip on the outside for cash and a thumb slot for straightforward removal of any card you need in a snap. As is always good advice in life, don’t be like George Costanza.
The 6mm thin GRID Wallet Forged Carbon is currently available for pre-order at a special price of $75, with shipping scheduled for August 25th.
AGV AX-8 DS EVO Grunge Helmet
Save $180: Showing off the fact a motorcycle helmet is made from carbon fiber with a clear coat of paint is nothing new. It’s a state of the art material, lightweight and generally expensive — it makes sense people would want to brag about it. Where the AGV AX-8 DS EVO Grunge Helmet is it’s made from a carbon, Kevlar and fiberglass composite, which sports tones of red, yellow and a purple hue. It’s not as glamorous as carbon fiber, but then again, it does channel ’90s grunge, so why would it be?— Bryan Campbell

This Bundle Includes My Favorite New Wallet
Save 21%: I recently came up against a point of transition with my wallet. It was a leather bifold that I’ve carried since high school (I bought it from Brooks Brothers using store credit earned after exchanging some less-flattering sweaters given to me by my grandmother), and it was well-worn but still in good shape. My issue with it was that it had become cumbersome, and removing even a single business card would throw the tension of its sleeves out of whack, causing the rest of the contents to fall out too. It was time to start over.
I landed on Bellroy’s Slim Sleeve wallet. I’ll spoil the end of the story by admitting that I’m obsessed with the damn thing and wish that I had discovered it years ago. It’s nearly a third of the size of my old wallet and easily holds everything (license, credit cards, Metrocard) that I use frequently, and still some that I don’t. I don’t have to fight my jeans to remove it from a pocket, and no chiropractor will diagnose any future back issues I may encounter as a result of it being on my person. I’m confident that when mine wears out, I’ll pick up another.
If your wallet is tattered, or just too large, give the Slim Sleeve your consideration. It’s currently on sale at Huckberry in a bundle with an equally-slim key organizer for 21 percent off. — Tanner Bowden
Definitive Technology Sound Bar
Save 40%:Definitive Technology’s W Studio Micro is a terrific soundbar-and-subwoofer combo. It works with virtually any TV out there. It sounds great, featuring three 1-inch aluminum dome tweeters and four 1- by 3-inch mid-range drivers. And its wireless subwoofer adds the extra bass you’d want while watching a Christopher McQuarrie flick. All told, you’re getting the kind of sound you’d expect from high-end speakers in a package that’s compact enough to virtually disappear beneath your TV.
Usually sold for $899, the W Studio Micro is currently backordered on Definitive Technology’s website, but you can find the 3.1 system on Amazon for just $499. If you’re in the market for a great home theater system, this one is on the cheap. — Andy Frakes
Bose QuietComfort 35 II Noise-Canceling Headphones
Save $50: The Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs are some of the best wireless, noise-canceling headphones you can buy. If you’d like to learn more about them, you can read our review — here – but there’s a good chance that you already know all about them. If that’s the case, here’s a tidbit that you didn’t know: you can buy the QC35 IIs on Amazon, in black or silver models, for $299 — that’s $50 off the regular $349 MSRP.
Anker Quick Charge 3.0 Dual USB Wall Charger
Save 74%: Amazon just drastically dropped the price of one of my favorite gadgets: Anker’s little dual-port wall charger. Normally $70, it’s now just $18. I have one of these in my apartment and it’s just super convenient – it allows me to charge my iPhone and iPad (or Nintendo Switch) at the same time, and I don’t waste an outlet on a second wall adapter. If you have multiple devices and find that you also have to decide which of the two you’d rather have charged, this wall adapter simply eliminates that dilemma. Plus it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, so it’s going to charge your smaller devices (smartphone, tablet, etc.) as fast as possible.
Vault by Vans Italian Leather Sneakers

The silhouettes are the same and the iconic waffle soles are the same, but the canvas upper is swapped for a more luxurious component. Now at Need Supply, you can save 50 percent on this limited-edition release. The classic styles are a serious upgrade to their canvas counterparts and cost just over $60, putting them just at, or under, the price of their canvas counterparts. — John Zientek
Benchmade Mini Griptilian Pocket Knife
Save 20%: You’ve probably come into contact with Benchmade’s Griptilian before, even if you haven’t been aware of it. Benchmade is easily one of the best-respected knife manufacturers in operation, and its simple drop-point folder is one of its most established blades. Originally designed by custom maker Mel Pardue, the Griptilian has since expanded into a family of practical pocket knives that can be configured with various blade shapes, finishes, types of steels, handle materials and colors.
The Mini Griptilian is the more pocket-friendly version of Pardue and Benchmade’s classic. It’s modified drop-point blade features two thumb studs for assisted opening and is just under three inches in length. It features Benchmade’s AXIS locking mechanism and a pocket clip that can be realigned for left or right carry. It’s a slightly smaller version that stands up to the reputation of the original, and it’s currently on sale for 20 percent off at Backcountry — use the code CAMPCLIMB20 at checkout. — Tanner Bowden

Lodge Square 10.5-Inch Skillet
Save 58%>Lodge’s cast-iron skillets are the benchmark for American-made cookware that’s affordable and doesn’t completely suck, and one of its best products is half-off today.
The 10-and-a-half-inch squared cast-iron skillet isn’t as iconic as the traditional circle, but it’s every bit as functional — particularly at cooking more pieces of bacon and pork belly. There’s one key difference to keep in mind with the squared version — season it upside down. All bare cast iron needs to be regularly seasoned, of course, but the squared version has corners, corners that act as little hangout spots for oil to coagulate and pool — resulting in uneven, ugly and ineffectual seasoning.
Apart from that, the only thing you need to know about this skillet is that it usually sells for twice the price it is today. — Will Price
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15

To get ready for that inevitability, we propose Todd Snyder’s excellent take on the classic four-pocket jacket.— Justin Fenner

Bodum’s presses are lauded for their simple, straightforward and cheap approach to pressing coffee through a mesh filter, and its most affordable option is marked down to a whopping $10 on Wayfair right now. Arc’teryx Beta LT Jacket
Save 30%: The Beta LT sets the bar for all other technical wet-weather shells, and at a list price of $525, one would certainly hope so. But there are loads of expensive jackets out there, many of them featuring Gore-Tex fabrics and sophisticated construction.
So why choose this one? The fit, for one, is a cut above the competition; a slightly-extended rear hem fits comfortably under a climbing harness, the hood is cut with enough room to wrap over a skiing or climbing helmet and the trim fit through the body keeps the all-important interior layers closer to your skin. All these elements come together to help make the best use of the carefully-chosen fabrics and sealed seam placements.

Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph
Save $30:Plenty of watches that aren’t the Omega Speedy have been worn into space — we’ve even written a cool roundup of our favorites. And one of the coolest space watches of all was the Bulova chronograph that served as a backup when Dave Scott’s NASA-issued Speedy broke during the Apollo 15 mission in 1971. The Bulova kept perfect time throughout that mission and lived on to fetch over $1.6 million at auction in 2015. The brand’s Accutron technology, memorialized in one of my favorite Mad Men scenes of all time, was also used in the instrument panels of spacecraft flown through the 1960s and 70s. Needless to say, the Accutron tech has proved its worth.
This iteration of the watch is sold straight from Bulova for $650, with the steel bracelet option going for $695, making the $295 Amazon price tag a truly over-the-moon value. — Andy Frakes
