It’s obvious that 4K OLED TVs are better than 4K LED TVs. They produce deeper blacks and brighter colors, and that’s why they’re more expensive. Up to this point they’ve been a lot more expensive, however, but as the cost of these OLED TVs continues to drop, the price difference is getting more reasonable; now it’s at least worth having the conversation: “is the more expensive TV worth it?”
Whether you’re interested in an OLED TV or not – you just want a good TV – you can actually get a really good one at a really really good price. B&H is offering a 55-inch C8PUA for just $1,400 when you enter the code LGDAY at checkout. The 55-inch C8PUA was originally going for $2,497, but the price was dropped to $1,697 in the last month or so. However, now that you can get another ~$300 off at B&H with that code, this OLED is almost the same price as LG’s still-really-nice LCD TVs. And that’s pretty ridiculous.
Note: LG notoriously makes the best OLED TVs and the C8PUA is one of its best – both CNET and Rtings.com gave it glowing reviews.
