Yeti’s Growing Collab Includes at Least One Detail Long-Time Fans Will Envy

Yeti’s ongoing racing collab has already produced head-turning drops — but the expansion of a fascinating exclusive color raises a bigger question.

Yeti doesn’t do collaborations often. And when it does step outside its core lineup, the brand usually targets very specific enthusiast worlds — like a Yeti x Howler Brothers drop aimed at the fishing and surf crowd, or last year’s John Deere Rambler.

Its latest release follows the same playbook. Yeti has unveiled a new collaboration with Oracle Red Bull Racing, the dominant Formula 1 team.

The partnership itself isn’t entirely new. Red Bull Racing first teased a licensing deal with Yeti more than three years ago, and the team has since been spotted using Yeti coolers in the paddock to help manage engine and brake temperatures.

One item that’s still not part of the collection is what appears to be a custom, athlete-only Yeti Rambler designed to look like a massive Red Bull can.

Last year, we were even teased with a Yeti Rambler bottle styled to look like a giant Red Bull can.

Now the collaboration has expanded into a wider range of products. And beyond the obvious motorsport branding, every item outside the company’s drinkware – including its famed Tundra hard coolers- now comes in a special color that’s inspired fan curiosity since it first broke cover.

Brand color collaborations are funny beasts. Companies often treat color like sacred DNA, then occasionally bend the rules just enough to make things interesting.

The name “Night Sky Navy” doesn’t appear anywhere in Yeti’s standard color catalog. And despite the partnership, the shade doesn’t quite match the blues used in Oracle Red Bull Racing’s official livery either.

Instead, it’s a deep, almost blackened navy — darker and more saturated than Yeti’s existing core Navy. Red accents and an Oracle Red Bull Racing patch complete the team-specific look, though neither accent hue appears to perfectly match Red Bull’s brand colors.

That near-but-not-exact color alignment is part of what makes the collection feel more deliberate than a simple licensed logo drop.

Maybe Yeti couldn’t match the team colors perfectly. Maybe the company already had a similar palette in development and nudged it toward the Red Bull partnership. Or maybe this is just a preview of the shades we’ll see in future seasonal releases.

Right now, Night Sky Navy has quietly expanded to 12 products: from hard and soft coolers to luggage, backpacks, duffels, tote bags, and even a short-sleeve T-shirt.

Due to differences in materials, Night Sky Navy looks slightly more grey on the Camino tote, and slightly blacker on Yeti’s two Tundra hard coolers.

It’s also interesting to see how the color palette varies slightly across different product materials. For instance, on the brand’s beloved Camino tote, the shade appears to be slightly more grey, likely due to the Camino’s puncture-resistant ThickSkin shell.

The Tundra 45 Hard Cooler and Roadie 15 bring the same Night Sky Navy treatment to one of the brand’s most iconic products, with Oracle Red Bull Racing’s livery co-branded prominently on the exterior.

The collective results feel distinct enough from anything Yeti has offered before that it raises an obvious question: why can’t this be a permanent colorway?
