Like a good haircut, quality workwear looks best after day one.

Just ask Gretchen Valade, the great-great granddaughter of Hamilton Carhartt, whose new venture celebrates the enduring appeal of hardwearing shirts, jackets and even hats with her family’s name.

As with previous installments, styles date back over 50 years. Wylie Welling chose them for their “character, utility and enduring construction,” it said in an email to subscribers.

The new arrivals encompass a pair of early 2000s hats, broken-in t-shirts from various decades and a rare ’90s-era coat in Carhartt’s signature duck canvas.

Most feature one-off detailing and repairs done by teams in Los Angeles and Detroit, including one-off patches that highlight wear, rather than hide it.

See below for a few highlights or head over to Wylie Welling’s website to browse the full collection. Prices start at $65.
