Filson has just introduced a new ultra-premium addition to its legendary outerwear lineup. It’s easily the brand’s most expensive coat currently available, and sure to spark conversation.

A century old throwback

It’s constructed from densely-woven 24-ounce Mackinaw Wool, the same heavy-duty fabric that made Filson’s reputation during the Klondike Gold Rush era. That material provides exceptional warmth and wind resistance while maintaining breathability – at least compared to modern synthetics.

It’s now available on Filson’s website for an eye-popping price of $1,199, which easily makes it the most expensive single coat in the brand’s current lineup.

For context, the standard Mackinaw Wool Cruiser retails for $499, while most of Filson’s waxed cotton jackets fall in the $300 to $600 range.
