One of Seiko’s Best Everyday Watches Just Got a Glow Up for the Ages

Made in collaboration with Beams for the brand’s 50th anniversary, the latest King Seiko KSK to join the fray gives new meaning to the term glow up.

The dial of the SDKA025 features a stamped radial pattern designed to mimic rays of light — a play on the name “Beams.”

Gold-toned hands and markers (similar to the recently released King Seiko SJE121) only further the effect, as does the angular geometry of the KSK, which Seiko revived to much fanfare in 2022.

For example, the bracelet, designed after the original KSK watches from the 1960s, brings extra sparkle with sharp lines and hard-edged links.

Limited to just 300 pieces worldwide, the SDKA025 features a 38.6mm case.

Seiko

As for the case, King Seiko now offers various sizes of the KSK, with this one arriving on the larger side.

The SDKA025 measures 38.6mm, however, it shaves nearly a millimeter off the thickness of the 36mm variants, thanks to its 6L35 automatic movement.

That also gives it a 4Hz beat rate and power reserve of 45 hours.

The watch comes with a cobranded box.

Availability and pricing

Limited to just 300 pieces worldwide, the King Seiko KSK SDKA025 is now available for preorder on Beams’s official website.

It costs 440,000 Japanese yen, equivalent to $2,782.
