Emotiva’s Nostala LB12 is a set of 3-way floorstanding loudspeakers that are designed to look old, but sound new.

Each speaker packs a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, the company’s proprietary HyperDome midrange driver, and a 12-inch paper-cone woofer. And there are dual flared front ports to deliver deep, controlled bass.

The Nostala LB12 promises to be relatively easy to drive, with a sensitivity of 91 dB. Emotiva recommends pairing it with an amplifier capable of driving 100-watts (or more) per channel into 8 ohms.

Each loudspeaker features have permanently attached wooden feet, although the company claims that they can removed for used with third-party stands.
