For years, decades even, the Pegasus was the Nike shoe to beat. That changed in 2025 with the release of the Vomero Plus.

Built on a thick slab of ZoomX foam, similar to the compound found in Nike’s record-breaking racers, the Vomero Plus equipped the Swoosh with a genuine max-cushioned Hoka competitor.

The Vomero Plus is Nike’s answer to the rise of Hoka in the max-cushioned category.

The shoe is comfortable, deceptively quick and seductively fun, all traits that earned it a spot on Gear Patrol‘s roundup of the best releases of 2025.

But one thing it isn’t is cheap … at least outside of the Memorial Day shopping window.

The Vomero Plus normally retails for $180 thanks to its top-shelf materials suitable to easy runs, workouts and even everyday wear.

But Nordstrom is running an exclusive deal that sees the price slashed by nearly half.

Availability and pricing

It looks like the discount only applies to two colorways with full size runs,ย “White Metallic Silver” and “Volt Tint.”

But Nike is also running its own Memorial Day promo on “Anthracite,” “Hydrogen Blue” and others.

The deal via Nike’s official channels is limited to just 20 percent off (taken at checkout with the code START), whereas Nordstrom doubles the savings at 40 percent.

That brings the price of the shoe down from $180 to just $108.
