Yeti Quietly Released a Tactical, Off-Catalog Version of an Everyday Classic

The brand’s new partnership with Mystery Ranch, which it acquired in 2024, shows that the best collabs go both ways.

Since it acquired Mystery Ranch, Yeti’s relationship with the renowned bagmaker has looked one-directional at best.

The Yeti Ranchero comes with a three-way zipper system borrowed from the Mystery Ranch Assault series, while the Skala utilizes a microadjustable harness as seen in countless hunting and military bags from the Bozeman brand.

That said, the brands’ latest collaboration proves that the best partnerships go both ways.

Orange is the new black

Available exclusively on Mystery Ranch’s website, a new one-off variant of the Rambler Water Bottle pays homage to wildland firefighters, many of whom depend on Mystery Ranch bags to carry critical gear past the fireline.

It features a matte black base, engraved with unique skull-and-cross pattern.

But as far as Yeti Nation is concerned, the more notable detail might be the top.

Rather than a standard black Chug Cap, the bottle arrives with one in “King Crab Orange,” which Yeti has never included on a previous colorway of its bestselling Rambler Bottle.

“King Crab Orange” originally came out in 2021 as a seasonal drop.

The combination matches Mystery Ranch’s existing “Wildfire Black” colorway, giving the everyday bottle a distinctly tactical edge.

Unfortunately, neither Mystery Ranch nor Yeti appear to be selling the orange top on its own.

However, the Chug Cap is compatible with every Rambler size from 18 to 64 ounces, allowing Yeti collectors to mix and match as they wish.

Availability and pricing

Available exclusively in the 36-ounce size, the Yeti Rambler Bottle in “Wildfire Black” is available now for $50, the same price as other colorways on Yeti’s website.
