Citizen x Hypebeast Zenshin Three-Hand

For its latest Eco-Drive 50th-anniversary release, Citizen collaborates with Hypebeast for its own 20-year celebration. The hype blog helps transform the watchmaker’s Zenshin integrated titanium sports watch into a monochromatic masterpiece with the “most extensive application of Duratect Platinum” in the watch range so far. The matching silver-tone dial completes the minimalist aesthetic, with a subtle “20” numeral where the 4 should be.

The model features a multi-colored ceramic case featuring a trio of pastel shades in Mint, Sky Blue and Pink. The softer colors are inspired by the Mediterranean, the glamorous setting where Hublot traditionally launches its summer models. The 42mm watch is powered by Hublot’s excellent in-house Unico automatic chronograph movement and includes three white-lined rubber straps in Mint, Sky Blue and Pink, all of which are secured with titanium folding clasps and are interchangeable with the push of a button via the brand’s One-Click system. The watch is limited to 200 pieces and is released alongside a 10-piece Big Bang Summer Tourbillon in the same color scheme.

G-Shock x Pokemon GA-110PKM-7AJR

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Pokemon taps none other than G-Shock for a new watch. While the two Japanese icons have teamed up before on Baby-G models, the latest GA-110PKM-7AJR is the first full-sized G-Shock collaboration. Under the translucent bezel, you see the colors used for the pushers (red, green and blue), nodding to the original three games from 1996. The motif is even more overt on the dial, especially the 9 o’clock speedometer shaped like a Pokeball with none other than Pikachu used as the hand. Completing the celebration is a clear resin strap, featuring 30 different Pokemon species subtly outlined in white. Of course, the timepiece comes inside packaging made to look like a Pokeball as well.

Like the brand’s DB28xs Starry Seas, the dial of the Sand Winds features De Bethune’s exclusive random guilloché pattern along with an oxidative heat treatment. But instead of a blue finish, the new dial has a sandy gold color reminiscent of a windswept desert. The hands and hour markers are both in polished yellow gold, while applied droplets of white gold adorn the dial as subtle decorations. The 40mm polished titanium case features hollowed-out, tapered lugs for increased comfort, and the watch is powered by the manually wound in-house Calibre DB2005, which boasts a six-day power reserve, a custom triple shock-protection system and a titanium balance wheel with white gold inserts.

Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar

Vacheron Constantin’s innovative perpetual calendar features two escapements. The “Active” high-beat regulator oscillates at 5Hz and is meant to be used while wearing the watch, while the second balance beats at just 1.2Hz and puts the watch in “Standby” mode when not in use, extending the power reserve to an unheard-of 70 days. A pusher on the side of the platinum case at 8:00 makes it easy to switch between modes.
