Dedicated, individual packs for adventuring, travel, work, the gym and daily errands make sense for maximalists who like their backpacks, duffels and slings finely tuned to whatever the day demands.

But minimalists, who favor a less-is-more approach, are often forced to settle for a “good enough” bag that never quite does everything they want.

Built for workdays, weekends and everything in between, the Rhake LS has been redesigned with superior organization capabilities.

But what if there were a backpack that satisfied the maximalist’s need for deep organization and modularity and the minimalist’s desire for a clean, streamlined design?

It might sound too good to be true, but Mission Workshop has made that Goldilocks backpack a reality with the revamped Rhake LS.

Better than ever

The Rhake LS is one of Mission Workshop’s most popular packs, and the new version builds upon the success of its predecessor with a few notable upgrades.

The travel-ready backpack now features a redesigned, super soft shoulder harness and ergonomic, breathable back panel, both constructed to provide better comfort over long-haul days.

The entire structure uses Dimension Polyant VX-21, a technical fabric lauded for its strength-to-weight ratio and high abrasion resistance.

A new, integrated luggage handle pass-through makes moving through airports even easier. But these updates, while notable, are the least exciting aspect of the Rhake LS.

The Rhake LS leans on Landspeeder technology to allow for a mix-and-match approach to carrying essentials.

Although it has the same name as the anti-gravity X-34 vehicle Luke Skywalker flew on Star Wars, this tech has nothing to do with a spaceship (although it is as stellar).

Modular mission

Mission Workshop’s continued collaboration with Landspeeder has resulted in a nearly-invisible modular attachment system built directly into the Rhake LS.

This system allows the pack to be modified or updated in seconds, using any of the brand’s Landspeeder side modules, which can be added or subtracted depending on your loadout needs. The Rhake LS can accommodate two modular accessories at a time.

Along with the ability to mix and match modules, the Rhake LS’s internal organization makes packing a breeze.

The padded laptop compartment, dedicated 10-inch tablet pocket, expandable 22-liter rolltop main compartment and individual pockets for your phone, chargers, keys and sunglasses mean there’s a home for every piece of your EDC kit.

The front pockets feature Fidlock magnetic buckles for quick and secure access, and the straps can be loosened to accommodate larger items, like a skateboard, for easy travel.
