When you shop at Everlane on Black Friday, the brand will donate $13 of your purchase to the Surfrider Foundation to fund beach cleanups across the country. There are no order minimums and each order will remove around one pound of plastic from the nation’s beaches. In previous years, Everlane’s Black Friday Fund has raised over $628,000 for improvement projects at its factories across the world. The fund has helped install solar panels in China, provide scooter helmets to workers in Vietnam, create a wellness program for workers in Los Angeles and invest in pesticide-free farms for the Saitex factory. The decision to partner with the Surfrider Foundation this year comes on the heels of the announcement that Everlane will remove virgin plastic from its supply chain by 2021.
